"HOA solutions" is a broad way of describing the combination of tools and support a self-managed community pulls together to run itself — software for financials and communication, plus whichever outside help (bookkeeping, compliance, legal) a board decides it needs. It's less a single product and more a strategy: piecing together exactly what a specific community needs, rather than buying one all-in-one package or hiring a full management company.
Most self-managed boards start with core software — for accounting, communication, and document storage — and then layer in specific HOA services where volunteer capacity or expertise runs short. A board might handle communication and governance entirely in-house while outsourcing bookkeeping, for example, rather than treating "software" and "services" as an either/or choice.
Hybrid HOA management is really the formal name for this combination approach — self-managed at the core, with select services outsourced. Boards evaluating their options should think in terms of which specific tasks actually need outside help, rather than assuming the choice is limited to full self-management or a full management company.
